Flails hands… “That’s beauty booty, if ye ask me. What? You didn’t?” Shifts eyes. “O’ course, ye did. Everyone wants a prize.”

ParrotCue parrot: “Mind your eyes. Mind your eyes.”

Adjusts effects. “Now, here be the code to help make Katherine’s dreams come true. Each book must garner at least 50 nominations to qualify for the next and final round from you. The deadline ends September 30 so don’t belay that.”

Cue parrot: “Help the booty.”

“That’s beauty. Help the beauty win said booty. How many times do we have to rehearse this?” Shakes head. “I have it on good authority, Katherine is overjoyed with this, her first ever nomination.” Leans close. “There may be rum in it for me—I mean you and me. Now,” straightens then takes a swig and offers a dram to said parrot, “mind your talons and click on the links below, if you dare. A vote for Katherine’s books will show that you care.”

Book One in the Nelson’s Tea Series

Shout out! I want to thank all of my readers for keeping DUKE BY DAY, ROGUE BY NIGHT on the top #5 Amazon Regency Bestseller Lists for the first month of its release. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Your support has helped make my dreams of becoming a bestselling author come true. Huzzah and Hoorah!!!

Today, dear reader, it’s my turn to offer YOU something special. The Romance Reviews April 2014 ezine issue, TRR’s first EZine EVAH, is out and being distributed to 10,000 opt-in subscribers, me hearties. Even better news? I’ve been given permission to share it with you! (Click on the TRR April 2014 ezine issue link above to view the newsletter.)

If you like TRR’s EZine, you can sign up to get it delivered to your inbox the moment it’s distributed by going here: http://www.theromancereviews.com/ezine.php

You’ll find DUKE is featured in an excerpt ad in the EZine too, along with author interviews, book snippets, excerpts and more. Enjoy!

I recently became involved in a writing challenge with several authors until May 5th. You can find the original challenge here at Paperbacks n’ Papercuts, author M.V. Freeman’s blog. She’s keeping everyone updated on our progress. Sad to say, with some pain issues and my oldest daughter and grandson visiting this past weekend, I only clocked in 2K this past week, plus tons of research. The kicker? Loser posts several embarrassing photos online. ACK! I either need to get busy or find some pictures. LOL!

Monday’s Marquee is: “Waves are not measured in feet or inches, they are measured in increments of fear.” ~ Buzzy Trent

Don’t be afraid! Go out this week and do what you can to make your dreams come true. Remember the tortoise and the hare? One step each day brings you closer and closer to your goal. We all only have 24 hours in a day, right? If you use those hours wisely, like the tortoise, you will get where you want to go. Woot!!!

Blessings,

Katherine

Wazzzz Up Wednesday!

Mid-week shout out to all my crewmates at Rogues, Rebels & Rakes! Alert: Weekend rising over that horizon. Huzzah!

My ship is listing a bit this hump day as I tackle many things on my to-do list, especially working on edits for MY LORD ROGUE, The Nelson’s Tea Prequel Novella. We hope to get MLR out to readers around April 20th, in time for RT (Romantic Times Booklover Convention). Woot!!! I’m also preparing to spend some time with my youngest daughter this weekend. Huzzah! I don’t get to see her often anymore now that she’s out on her own, so this will be a fabulous treat!

MY LORD ROGUE is scheduled to go into the cover artist’s magical hands on April 4th. If all goes according to plan, I may have a new book cover to share with you in the coming weeks. Yay! 😀

I want to give a special shout out to all the readers buying DUKE BY DAY, ROGUE BY NIGHT! You’ve kept the book in the Amazon top #10 in Regency and top #20 Historical for two weeks now. Woot!!! It gives me goosebumps to think of my book as an Amazon Bestseller. What a blessing when I was told repeatedly that pirates would never sell. Believe me, I know my book wouldn’t be where it is without the wonderful editors, cover artists, and marketing specialists at EsKape Press. More importantly, Duke wouldn’t be where it is without you, dearest readers. Thank you for your support! Thank you for helping make my writing dreams come true. Thank you for loving to read about pirates, rogues, rebels and rakes! And thank you for taking a leap into the Nelson’s Tea Series with me!

Wazzz Up: I’m excited to announce that DUKE BY DAY, ROGUE BY NIGHT is being featured in an ad at The Romance Reviews’ 3rd Anniversary until March 31st. Check it out, won’t you? And when and if you do, don’t forget to stop by and check out their Q&A and Hangman games to get your name in the treasure chest for one of the over 500 prizes! The partay don’t stop until March 31st!

I leave you with this today as I struggle for the strength to be the good, loving mother my children need. (When life happens, how do you deal?)

My mantra today: You have power over your mind – not outside events. Realize this, and you will find strength. Marcus Aurelius

Blessings, me hearties!!!
