But wait, there’s more! 😉
Jack: “More?” Strides into the room with a jug of rum in hand. “Do tell. Did Lady Patricia bring Darlene?”
Katherine: “Darlene is in rehearsal and can’t attend today’s post. I’m sorry, Jack. I know how much you look forward to trading barbs with her.”
Jack: “A shame, that. I’d spend a week, maybe more, in Darlene’s arms, if I could, tradin’… barbs. She’s a buxom blonde. I like a blonde with attitude. Add some rum and.. voila, behold a sassy wench.”
Katherine: Scratches head. “As long as she has rum, eh? I seem to recall Darlene being sassy 24/7.”
Jack: “Rum always tips the scales in me favor, if’n ye know what I mean.”
Katherine: “That, I do, Jack. Now, let’s get down to business. It’s time to get on with the show.” Smiles apologetically at our guest. “Welcome aboard, Lady Patricia! It’s great to have you back with us again.”
Patricia: “Hi! I want to thank Kathy and Captain Jack, two of my favorite people, for showcasing the beautiful cover for One Week in Your Arms, which is the first book in a series I am writing for Kensington’s Lyrical Shine imprint. The series, Love Heals All, will feature three mainstream romances with interconnected characters from a fictional town near Nashville called Lafayette Falls.
Jack: “I knew a Cap’n named Lafayette once.” Turns a rum bottle upside down and gives it a shake. “The bugger couldn’t hold his rum.”
Katherine: “Lafayette Falls is a place, Jack.” Flashes Patricia an apologetic smile. “I’m sorry about the interruptions. Do continue, won’t you?”
Patricia: “When I wrote One Week in Your Arms, my objective was to write the romantic novel of my heart. I decided to go with flow and write something amusing, provocative, and compelling with wonderful, complex characters. I just love a story that has some humor as well as heartbreak in it so this one is loaded with both. If it were a movie, One Week in Your Arms, would be rated R for occasional strong language, some nudity, innuendo galore, and that unforgettable tropical-storm-what-if-we-get-blown-away-naked love scene is Oscar worthy.
Jack: “You had me at strong language…” Grins.
Patricia: “Y’all will have to get Katherine to tell you her tornado story sometime.”
Jack: “Is that one where her rogue stood on the porch to watch a tornado tear down trees in the woods behind their house and Katherine was frantically flailing her arms like this… to get him to come back inside? Aye. A signal flag would have worked better to my way of thinkin’.”
Katherine: “Sadly, true. I blame the rum.” Mumbles. Hangs head, unable to explain why rogue wouldn’t heed her frantic requests. Time to change the subject. “Lady Patricia, you’ve got a new release with Kensington on the way. What else are you working on?”
Patricia: “Besides writing contemporary romance, I’m also working on a historical series set in New Orleans. To Save a Lady is available on Amazon. I love the French Quarters. Like living there would be a dream-come-true. I also write humorous short stories including best-seller “The Yard Sale” and “Laid to Rest,” which introduced one of my most infamous characters, Darlene.”
Jack: Reveals a sparkling gold tooth. “Aye. Darlene’s infamy is known all the way to Tortuga and back. Do bring her next time, eh?”
IT STARTED WITH A FLING…
Six years ago, ambitious med student Marla Grant gave into temptation with a gorgeous man. Now a busy doctor and a loving single mom, the only thing that matters to Marla more than her adorable daughter is the Lafayette Falls Community Clinic. When its funding is threatened, Marla is determined to find out why until she learns the person responsible is none other than the powerful, persuasive man of her long-ago fling and the unsuspecting father of her child…
Carson Blackwell has never forgotten bright, beautiful Marla. When he discovers that she runs the clinic his grandmother’s foundation funds, it’s the perfect chance to put an end to his ongoing infatuation-and use his leverage to cement a new business deal. He needs a fake girlfriend for one week in Hawaii, and Marla is just the woman for the job. It’s a win-win situation until they realize the attraction between them isn’t feigned and the heat has never died down. Only the secrets they’re both keeping stand in the way of a future together-and a love that could last a lifetime.

Great interview with a new author to me… and, of course, Jack. By the way, tell Jack his twin, Jake, is sending his regards. He also mentioned something about that particular cover… hmmmm, what was it? Ah yes, the beach… he’d love to go to the beach.

I like the book cover. I prefer wholesome covers to the smutty ones with half naked models that look nothing like real people.

The cover for the first book of your Love Heals All Series feels visually Loving AND Healing. Indeed, the beach implies relaxation/healing. The embracing couple with warm smiles implies a joyous, blissful caring/loving couple. Great cover! It invites the reader to come inside to experience their story!
